Are 2D Animation And 3D Animation Different From Each Other?

With advancement of technology, animation industry has undergone a vast series of changes. Now modern technology has helped in developing 2D and 3D animation films, which are, liked the most by the audience. The main difference between 2D and 3D is that, 2D Animation is created on one single dimension or platform because of which it can be viewed only on one angle. Unlike 2D, 3D images have more depth and give a real picture to the audience as it can be seen through different angles. The images, which are created in 3D, are created in platforms, which are three-dimensional.

Another difference between 2D and 3D animation work is that, 2D animation works on only two axes and mainly comprises of hand drawing. In 3D animation, work modeling along with various other important aspects is taken into use. Software is being taken into use for designing 3D models. Various companies are involved in developing the software that is being taken into use for 3D animation. The tools that are involved in designing 2D and 3D work are also different. The efforts in making 2D graphics are more complex in comparison to 3D images because different cells along with frames and points are to be used while doing the final work. Time involved in creating 2D images is more in comparison to 3D images.

While talking about 2D and 3D animation, one must know and understand that, 3D animation is more realistic than 2D animation work. With time, use of 3D animation has grown over year and is now taken into use for various work process.
