Man has been fascinated with his own face since centuries. One can imagine the prehistoric man staring at his reflection in the water, and this narcissism probably led to the wide spread use of mirrors later on. Art has always been thought of as a non-profession, and artists are supposed to be a starving bunch. Hand drawn portraits are much more personal and attractive than regular photographed portraits. It is for this reason that most professional portrait artists offer the service of using your photograph to create a hand sketched portrait of you. You can get a portrait that has been drawn directly on paper, or a digital portrait which has a larger variety in terms of use. Both of them can be used to decorate your home and add a unique touch.
